We bought the Walker Bay dinghy several years ago to use with the 22' power boat we had then. We just towed the dinghy, then used it for beach access. We haven't got far enough with Ceto to plan beach outings, but will probably tow the WB to use in the same way. It definitely wouldn't fit on the deck, especially our dinghy model with the inflated tubes. We used to use our halyards to load our aluminum skiff onto the deck of our large sailboat years ago. The goofy little keel wheel actually does help sometimes. It rows pretty well too. Just drag it along? Is it safe to bet that you don't put it anywhere on deck? I was studying your reefing and lines, besides just enjoying the sail, to compare to the spartan and worn-out systems we have. (we have to sometimes "hand close" the cam cleats, for instance.) Your new tender looks identical to our Walker Bay dinghy: http://www.walkerbay.com/products/original_walkerbay8.php Does yours have the faux lapstrake sides and a wheel on the keel? Ours doesn't say "Walker Bay" on the sides, like the one on their site, and we have the one with inflatable sides. My inlaws have one without. This one is from a coupla weekends ago. I would describe this day as a 10/10. You know, one of those days you might only get one or two per season? It was hot and sunny..and windy. This one showed up early on. I hope for many more yet this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38J3KhcOmYg the 2nd one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX4PO4uMsjY at this point we are two reefs in and stock jib..the gps read 5.7kn while I panned the camera over it.to windward. Basically bumbling along at 5k with the smallest balanced set I currently have. (soon to be changed) The other one that is uploaded and working shows our new (to us) tender bought last Friday and used on Saturday after 4hours of cleaning. I went to look at the thing with no description other than it was white and in excellent shape. That is my son Zach goofing around in the little one while it is being towed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zivo3lmHMlk Tim in Kelowna....just a few miles down hill from Bruce in the frozen North. _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats
