Skippers Have any of you installed a stern pulpit? How difficult is it? It sure seems like a nice addition. Capt'n James Sadler skipper sailing vessel Pelican M-15
Bob Egg installs them at the factory before putting deck on hull but it's tough to add it later. U need a different design since U can't get under the deck to install bolts. Gary. Sent from my iPhone On Mar 15, 2008, at 8:48 PM, jim sadler <jimsadler@jascopacific.com> wrote:

Thanks Gary Do you know what the "different design" is or who makes one of the different design? Bob just finished installing a bow pulpit on the Pelican. It is beautiful! Capt'n Jim On Sun, Mar 16, 2008 at 12:04 AM, Gary M Hyde <gmhyde1@mac.com> wrote:

Jim: I made a Bimini that doubled as a mast support for trailering. Sort of acted like a stern pulpit. I used pipe flanges mounted on the transom for 2 vertical supports there & a U- shaped piece supported by them. The ends of the U were attached to the toe rail a foot or 2 ahead of the transom. G.
