RE: M_Boats: Lifting in the driveway
Larry, I took a close look at my 1982 trailrite trailer and conclude it should not be on the road. All of the trailer was badly rusted. The hollow 2x2 cross brace (axel) was about eaten through by rust and the wheels looked like they could break free at any time. I have had it 8 years and sailed in salt water all the time. I junked it and bought a new Pacific trailer. Bob M15 #208
The trailer is in need of lots attention to be made to look as new. Boat (hull # 189) and trailer are 1981 manufacture. I want a safe process to pull out the trailer that I can do at home with simple car jacks, wood, bolts, carpeting and grabber screws. It will be made for disassembly. ----L.
