I just bought a Garhauer boom vang for my M-17 and am preparing to attach eyelets for mounting it. Does anyone have suggestions for how far down the mast and out on the boom I should place the eyelets? I've read that the vang should form about a 45-degree angle from the mast. Hi Gordon, Link to photo of Strawanza's Mast plate to give you some food for thought: http://www.msogphotosite.com/MSOG/bnamibia/bnamibia2.jpg Not my construction; Bob Eeg will have answers on this set up. However, maybe this is a good starting place. Bill On 6/2/08, Gordon Gilbert <gordon@financialwriting.net> wrote:
