Joe, Seagulls are great - I am contemplating one right now BUT - the 2 stroke thing - I had three of them (OAS) old outboard acquisition syndrome - 2 Century Plus - direct and clutch and a 110 FNR -but they too were all stolen! Great motors with torque and props to match - they actually used them on work barges with removable brackets. Still have Service manuals 122 pages covers all models for service and parts including transmission - Simple pieces of machinery! That in consideration - I think paddles and oars work best for me - (esp if someone else is paddling using a whisker pole) smaller boats - delete the motors - my new goal. Bob Eeg made some really cool oar 'towers' for Strawanza's owner so he could row. He sailed from San Diego to Africa. No auxilliary power, just custom made oars. Pretty cool.
