FYI: I just punched into www.progressive.com and filled out their rate quote info. Using a 2004 M-15 with a boat value of $11,000.00, With Comp & Collision ($500.00 deductible) Uninsured boaters and other features, but no towing and came up with a yearly premium of $141.00. I used them on the P-15 for the short time I had her. When I canceled they promptly refunded the unused premium coverage. I paid a very similar annual premium on the P-15. I didn't do much shopping except to ask my auto insurance broker who said they wouldn't cover boats. I tried to use the West Marine 1 (800) coverage and was treated very rudely. May have gotten hold of a man having a bad day. But, as a result of his attitude, I went elsewhere. Bill
West Marine doesn't have to treat you right . . . They own 2/3 of every facet of the U.S. boating market, and will soon own it all . . . Oh, where are the trust-busters? ----- Original Message ----- From: <BILLAMICASR@aol.com> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, March 12, 2004 12:06 PM Subject: Boat Insurance FYI: I just punched into www.progressive.com and filled out their rate quote info.
