For along time, the centerboard was always hanging up in the trunk after being on the trailer. After trying a number of things to keep it from sticking and to un-stick it without much success, I finally tried a very simple solution....spray some WD40 into the trunk. It seems to work very well, the board hasn't hung up in the last 4 launches. John Edwards Miss T M17 # 372
I found out this past spring that the shackle for my c-board pendant was too large . . . Now that I have the appropriate size, the c-board action is very free and smooth . . . Much to my relief, because I ended the 2003 season with a stuck board, and having a '84 M17, am constantly worried about keel swell . . . ----- Original Message ----- From: Saltm17@aol.com To: montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Tuesday, November 09, 2004 2:06 AM Subject: Sticky Centerboard fix?
