Re: M_Boats: Advice Sought: Porta-Potti for '85 M15
Thanks Rik, Didn't know about the Pett but it does look like a fantastic solution. I have a porta-potti for my tent trailer and I know too well the hassle involved with cleanup after a camping trip. By the way you are the 2nd person I have run into on these bbs forums (so to speak) that has both a Flicka and a Monty. Must be a Flicka thing ? The Pacific Seacraft Flicka 20 is a very cool boat, would love to sail on one someday. [Bert are you listening ? :-) ] Happy New Year Neil
Neil, One of the best things about the PETT system is, those bags could be made to work with a forked stick if need be. Very versatile, very portable, very neat and simple. As to the Flicka/Monty thing, I like Bert's style :-) I like my boats stout, able to go anywhere, or at least anywhere one can reasonably expect. If one wants a stout 20 footer he goes looking for a Flicka. If one wants a stout 15 footer he looks for a Monty. I'd say they are both best in class for stout. I don't always get there fastest, but, I always get there. :-) Rik On Mon, Jan 4, 2010 at 8:36 AM, <ndorf@surfbest.net> wrote:
