Hi George.. Welcome to the list!! IIRC, the yellow boat that you saw was a M-17, as I know of one out there. It should be in the picture archives. I learned to sail on a C-22 and Capri-22, but bought a M-17. It is easier to rig then a C-22, but the M-15 should be easier. Being a modest sized lake sailor ( Lake Lanier, Ga.) I'd say that the M-17 would ve the better boat for your area of sailing. As to rusty swing keels...just be sure that you get one with the lead-fiberglass centerboard....mine is iron<sigh> My boat has been traileres all over the Southeast by the previous owner, and I've done a bit myself. Mostly with a '92 Ford Aerostar 3L van with auto tranny. The mountains of Tennessee were no problem...'course, no match for what you have out there<GG> Regards, Harvey/ Ga M-17 Stargazer #294
