Hi Christian, A new M-15 will come with loose footed main and with sail slugs. In my opinion both have made sailing much easier. Not only for raising the main and reefing but also makes sail shape easier to control. Such as loosening the outhaul to make the sail more efficient on a down wind run or tightening the outhaul for spilling the wind when it picks up. Hope you are able to go ahead with your plans for a new boat. Sure makes it easier when the changes you would have made to an older boat are included with the "new and improved" model. Pauline,John Bill, Bob and Rik My sincerest thanks for your kind and informitive responses.. I am really looking forward to the M15 next year and for now will continue to enjoy reading all your exploits. I will continue to sail My Ranger 20 which will stay in the family for the kids to have and sail as they grow older. I was up in Clearlake sailing a few weeks ago and saw a nice M17 on a mooring in the Lakeport area.. From a distance you can tell the lines of a MONTY. Just to be sure it was a Monty... I sailed over and took a few pictures for my MONTY picture file.. Thank you again... Best regards Christian Fusselman Ranger20 "Blue Pearl"
Christian & Cheryl: Sent off picture copies and notes on the pictures today..look for them tomorrow or Friday. Paula
