hi, live in pena blanca 4 miles from cochitii lake, 2nd largest backfill dam in the world. just below los alamos if you know a-bomb history. the lake has unusual and changing winds. sailing in small boats since a young lad in the Adirondacks and finger lakes since single digits. just bought a laser as well. 1982. my question is best way to repair the leading edge of the centerboard before it has been dropped. i have some kevlar, what should i seal the inch chip with before? ww canoe as well. as i have been sailing a laser for a bit my tipping factor is minimal with this boat, as it is still cold, what are the tell tale of the Montgomery 15 when it is about to go over, and any explanation of how it self rights would be appreciated. nice to have contacts about such an excellent boat. matthew

With woodworking experience, I just cut out a section; replaced it with a piece of mahogany; faired it to the original outlines; and then covered and strengthened the bottom of the rudder by adding some fiberglass cloth, and fiberglass tape to the edges. It solve the problem. I used WEST products. WEST also will give you their repair manual giving you details of how to do it for all sorts of wood and fiberglass repairs. Just give them a call and they'll send it to you. Caio, Connie ex M15 #400

Hi folks I had my M-23 shipped on its trailer (not towed) when I brought it from CA to MD. I have a fella in CA that wants to buy the boat and ship it back to CA. When I did this Bob Eeg recommended his shipper and it worked out extremely well (but I cannot find his name). Does anyone (including Bob) have recommendations for a shipper? going online and using UShip works well. i've done this many times. off-list i can also assist with a shipper that helps with many of the Sage Marine transport needs. :: Dave Scobie :: former M15 owner #288 - http://www.freewebs.com/m15-name-scred :: M17 #375 SWEET PEA - http://www.m17-375.webs.com :: Sage 17 #1 - AIR BORN - http://sagemarine.us/sage_17.html :: Sage 15 sloop #001 - ASOLARE - http://sagemarine.us/sage_15.html :: SageCat #000 - SAGECAT - http://sagemarine.us/sagecat.html On Sat, Apr 15, 2017 at 1:09 PM, Robbin Roddewig < robbin.roddewig@verizon.net> wrote:
