I only have one set of reefing points on the sail that came with my M15 from the previous owner. What I did was to tie a sheet to a shackle at the end of my boom, run it up through the grommet in the clew of my sail (same height as the Cunninham), then back down to a block on the side of the boom and forward to a cleat. If I uncleat the line and pull forward, the boom goes up at an angle until it reaches the height of the grommet. Then I can tie the reef points, then lower the mainsail and tie down the line along the mast that runs through the Cunningham. I do keep the topping lift hooked up while sailing, but in fact if I have to do the aforementioned reefing drill, I have to adjust the topping lift on the cleat at the mast. With my rig, I wouldn't envision the boom crashing down but I more of the rookie here so I could be wrong. Is there a better way? Thanks all for your input. Neil
