Tim D., Prices for the individual wires for your boat are at _www.jerrymontgomery.org_ (http://www.jerrymontgomery.org) That should be about as close an approximation as can be - right from the person who built your boat! Following is copied from the webpage: PRICES FOR MONTGOMERY BOATS The following are of 1/8" 1X19 316 stainless wire. When new this has a breaking strength of 2,800 lbs and is used on most trailerable boats up to about 2,500 lbs. The prices below are only for Montgomery boats but can be used for comparisons for similar boats, and I have included approximate lengths for this purpose. In comparing for other boats, keep in mind that wire is cheap but terminals are expensive, especially forks, which require more machining during the manufacturing process. MONTGOMERY 17: Headstay and uppers, ea. $29.00; eye to 1/4" turnbuckle stud. Backstay: 28.00, eye to stud. Lowers, ea, 29.00, fork to stud. Backstay bridle wires, ea, $33.00; fork to fork. CP Bronze Turnbuckle Barrels, ea, $16.00. Stainless Bottom Studs with toggle, $13.00. Above eyes are MARINE eyes and take a 1/4" pin; forks are aircraft forks and take a 3/16 X 5/8 (grip length) pin. Pins are included with forks but not with eyes. Turnbuckles can have either the right-hand thread or the left-handed thread on the top stud, partly depending on who made it, but there has been an attempt in the last ten years or so to standardize with the RH thread on top. But check them out carefully; it takes a heck of a big wrench to make them interchangeable! Get those wires and then go sailing!! GaryO. M-17 #316a Disclosure - I am ordering my set today.
