Does anyone have teak cockpit grating on their M? M23? I've been using Dri-Tek for a couple of years, but it slips all over while heeling (no sound footing) I suppose I could re-paint and add non-skid to the cockpit floor, but teak would be sexier. contact john owens (www.jowoodworks.com) about making you a grate. doubt if he has a pattern for the cockpit floor (not that many M23s out there), he would need you to create a pattern. john does great work. i have seen a couple of M17s with grates ... nice look. my folk's old Cheoy Lee 32 had teak cockpit grates. very nice looking, easy on bare feet, and good non-skid properties. :: Dave Scobie :: Sage Marine --- On Sun, 4/8/12, Theo Petron <cheftheo@comcast.net> wrote:

I hope to retire in the next year, or so, and want to get a nice, safe trailerable boat that is small enough to rig & launch myself to use mostly on reservoirs in MS, AR, AL, OK, TN, Ga........ but, also, from time to time, be able to take to the MS/AL Gulf Coast & overnight on Ship Island, Horn Island, Dolphin Island, etc... I have spent considerable time researching trailerable boats and keep coming back to an M-17. Plus Bob Eeg has sent me some info on options that he has available on the M-17 that look very good. So now, I think it is time to go see one & talk with somebody that has spent some time on one. I live in Greenwood, MS (about 100 miles due South of Memphis, TN).....& I'm ready to spend a couple of days traveling now if that is what it takes to see one ........ I would appreciate very much anybody, who has an M-17, that would not mind spending a little time showing me their boat, in the not too distant future, either e-mailing me (david.pittman@thompsonpower.com) or calling me (662-299-5623). Thanks ..... Davo Pittman Office-662-459-7223 Cell-662-299-5623 Fax-662459-7221 E-mail: david.pittman@thompsonpower.com
Thanks in advance to anyone who can show Davo a boat. Appreciate that.! Bob

I can show you an M15 in Southwest FL. I've owned way too many boats in my life up to 40's, BUT my M15 that I recently acquired is my "FAV". I'm sure the M17 would be even better, so CONGRATULATIONS on your choice. Hope someone close by has an M17. -----Original Message----- From: montgomery_boats-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:montgomery_boats-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Bob Eeg Sent: Monday, April 09, 2012 1:46 PM To: montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: M_Boats: Just want to see an M-17 Thanks in advance to anyone who can show Davo a boat. Mine is 35 years old, but if you're ever down in the Tampa bay area you can look at the boat. Sincerely, Jerry On Mon, Apr 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM, August Trometer <atrometer@gmail.com> wrote:
