Well, after we traveled 1500 miles last summer to sail with the Northern crowd, we got our first reciprocal visit over the Thanksgiving holiday. Gary Hyde took a road trip and spent some time with us down here in Havasu. We didn't get a lot of sailing in while he was here, but what we did was "sporty". I'll not throw out a number lest we repeat that whole deal, but suffice it to say we were double reefed with a tiny storm jib hoisted and the race we were out to race in was called off...due to too much wind! hahaha go figure! Feast or famine down here. Took a short video and posted it on the website. _www.havasumontgomerys.piczo.com_ (http://www.havasumontgomerys.piczo.com) . The other fella with us is Howie from the Socal Potters group. Suffice it to say there was enough wind that we had a blast...that's what matters. **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products. Fantastic vid Shawn. Vicarious sailing is what it is. Makes me happy just to know someone is having fun. Like Larry said, looking for an ice boat conversion for an M17. My particular Fall was postponed by about three weeks this year....but the inevitable eventually always happens. Our first snow should be today and instead of sailing over the weekend I did the snow tire dance. Cheers.
