Re: M_Boats: Montys Apostle Islands Cruise was fun!
Hello Gordon and Chad, Well done men! Looks like you had a great adventure. Two sailing trips on Superior this season for you Gordon, good for you. Your motor killing using the external tank may be a small air leak somewhere in the fuel line or connectors. I had a similar problem with my Honda on the M23. The addition of a small "O" ring at the motor fuel inlet end solved the problem. Chad, still have your M17? Gordon's Sapphire is used to sailing with a yellow hulled M17! Thanks for the suggestion, Bones. I have an idea of where that air leak might be, and I'll get on it. We'll look forward to seeing you again on Superior some time next year! Gordon P.S. Chad really talked up your M-23; I'd love to see it -- better yet, sail with you on it -- some time in the near future! On Sep 30, 2009, at 5:20 PM, bownez@juno.com wrote:

Hey Bones, Yep still have the M17 and now an M15. We found that the last two summers we mostly day sailed and figured the M15 would work better for that. Not sure yet if we are going to keep the 17 or sell it. Both are great boats and I am very happy with both of them. Who knows, maybe we will find an M23 and then a Monty dinghy and then have the whole set. :-) There is a mold for a Montgomery dinghy sitting at Barkers Island... --Chad On Sep 30, 2009, at 5:20 PM, bownez@juno.com wrote:
