Hi, I am a new member located in Ontario Canada. I will be in the market soon for a small pocket yacht such as an M15 or the new Com-Pac Legacy. I have previously owned a couple of 22 footers and a 27 footer, but now it's time to "go small". I would appreciate it very much if an M15 owner not too far from Ontario would be so kind as to help by way of a test sail. Boy, I never expected a Canadian response! Thanks for getting back so soon. I am in St Thomas, near London but I travel throughout the Province on business and will actually be in your area in October. Not sure of the exact dates yet, but I do have some flexibility. Is this still within your sailing season? Norm fdurant@webhart.net wrote:

Norm...the river doesn't start icing over until Dec. so it will still be possible....but colder.I ownned a business in the Elgin mall in St Thomas for over 10 yrs and lived/worked there myself in 78-80.I had a nice little 1 1/2 story home on 5th ave just up past the plaza.Small world eh.
Yes, quite a coincidence! I have lived around the area for over 30 years but I'm new to St Thomas. We built a new home in an older part of town. The town has changed quite a bit in the last ten years or so. Elgin Mall is being somewhat challenged by the new box stores in town such as Wal-Mart and others. Apparently, the population is around 50,000 now. Is there any particular day of the week more convenient for you? I'm pretty flexible. I'm looking at the first week of October for the trip. My wife will be accompanying me by the way. Norm fdurant@webhart.net wrote:
