HI Gary, Hope all is well with you.... As far as reefing goes, for fastening the tack of the mainsail, are you using a ram's horn on the mast, or a hook arrangement that goes to a cleat? Thanks, Bones
Bones: Good to hear from you! Actually, I have a modified hook I bought from Larry Yake and bent to sort of work. It is mounted on the forward end of the boom; but I still haven't got the shape right. What I've been doing is using a short line thru the luff reef grommet, one end looped around the hook, the other pulled down to a horn cleat near the mast base. It is still a work in progress. By the way, we had another nice time in the San Juans. Come join us again! --Gary Hyde 2005 M17 sailboat #637 'Hydeaway 2' We can't change the wind, but we can trim our sails.
