Re: M_Boats: Saililing Yellowstone Lake and Jackson Lake Wyoming
Bill, Many years ago (1966) my father thought it would be cool to sail our Super Satellite at Yellowstone Lake, a very tender non self-rescuing boat - on a very ,very windy lake that is large and capable of big waves. One of the most beautiful places on earth - so with that in mind - be careful, the water is cold - great fishing, and much cooler than the Sticker Patch (115 F tomorrow) ! Just be prepared for potentially big breeze, and if memory serves me, short steep waves of decent size for a lake. We didn't venture out onto Jackson after the Yellowstone experience. I think you get a special 'badge' for sailing a small boat on Yellowstone Lake. Give Em Hell! Take Care, Have Fun, Go sailing. GO In a message dated 7/27/2009 8:45:29 P.M. Got the boating regs online for Yellowstone Lake looks like one permit after another. Any help would be appreciated.
