Just an update for those planning on attending. I talked to the marina host, for those planning on moorage, the cost is $15. for boats 11' to 15'. for boats 16' to 20' it will cost $18 per night. There is plenty of camping available at $25 per space. There is a small market about a mile from the park. Terry

Richardson is a very popular destination as you found out. Summer reservations should be made months in advance. The marina hosts are a separate group from the campground hosts. If you call back the CG hosts would give you a more realistic view of availability and the chance of getting into a site. I Googled "camping near Fern Ridge Lake" and got a few hits. Most are 15+ miles from the lake. The closest, Fernridge Shores is private and doesn't do overnighters to the best of my knowledge. I don't know anything about the others, but they look like typical RV campsites. There is a decent restroom/shower facility at the marina. I have stayed on my boat before with no problems. The restroom and shower facilities are very convenient to the docks. I believ they show movies after dark during the summer on the weekends. Moor your boat and camp on it. Ian M-17 the mighty "Seaweeble"
