Bill, I sent this twice. This one is minus the picture which makes the e-mail larger than 40 kb. Twelve Potters and two M15s made the annual Potter cruise to Two Harbors on Catalina June 20-24. This was a fun filled trip with many activities on Catalina which included Geocaching and the first annual Potter dinghy race. The dinghy race consisted of about 10 inflatables of many types. The participant ages where from teens to 60+. It was a Leman's start up the beach with a run to the dinghies and then into the water. The race started on the far side of the pier, went around the large landing dock, under the pier on the return leg and back to the starting line on the beach. The attached picture shows the pier. The winner was to have their name engraved on a plaque to be hung in the International Marine plant. This is funny because I won the race. This presented a problem since I'm a Monty owner! I was also the oldest person in the race. The other Monty owner was Fuh-Shing Pan in M15 #120. Norm M15 #172
Norm: So what kind of inflatable dinghy did you win in? --Gary Hyde Pullman, WA gmhyde1@mac.com M17 #637 'Hydeaway 2' "...There's nothing quite like messing about in boats..." On Jun 26, 2006, at 7:08 AM, Norm Bundek wrote:

Hi Norm, Do you suppose they will hang the picture in a conspicious place? Congratulations on the win. Never to old to kick the youngsters behinds. Bill And, just a note, I do not think you can send pictures through on the MSOG List. Send them to me direct at the Gmail address. I'll add them to your album.
Norm, Sounds like fun...I've done the trip on a Victory 21 but not in my M-15...hope you'll let me know if you do this again. I'm retired AF, live in Riverside and sail at Mission Bay.
