Tiller on my M15 split at the same place, but only after one of my son's football buddies sat on it. I didn't see it happen. My son was discreet enough to have a new, very fine, laminated replacement tiller in place before I did see it. I would ask how it happened that a 230 lb lineman used the tiller for a chair, but I'd never get a straight answer, and it's probably just as well.
