I don't want to dampen the enthusiasm for the Montgomery Forum, but consider this as me suggesting an alternative? We now have two Montgomery sites: http://www.msog.org/ http://www.msogphotosite.com/ The owner's registry: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Montyowners/ This email list and now the trailer sailer forum. By my count that is at least 5 different Internet resources that doesn't include the various owner sites. It may be time we consider consolidating all these under one roof. The guy who hosts my company website has this site, which includes most of the features we have and want (photos, forums, etc). I don't know as consolidation is necessarily all it's cracked up to be: It puts a lot of burden on the webmaster. As for the forum format, I don't think the TSBB's setup can be beat with a stick. Just my opinion, Tod Mills M17 #408, 1987 galley model BuscaBrisas

I was waiting for this email based format to mature into something with a tad more zing. Bound to happen eventually. I have regularly lurked and occasionally contributed to the trailer sailor forum that Todd speaks of. Personally, I have always found the 'tree' style of navigation a little trying. I have also spent some time on the style of (Messing About) forum that Frank hosts. It is a lot more intuitive and flows much easier. With Franks forums the only negative that might relate to me personally is this overall 'churchy' kind of feel. The Trailer Sailors that Todd frequents doesn't seem that way from my perspective. I will support either format that ends up growing....but I would prefer the Messing About angle. My 2 cents. ...oh and one nice thing about the Messing About format is you can choose an option in your settings that sends you a single email to let you know someone has contributed to a thread you started or have contributed to.
