Center Board Pin Question
On my "new" Monty 15 - 1981 (hull #176), I can see the CB hinge pin on the port side of the keel. It is not faired flush as it is on the starboard side of the keel. It almost appears as if some PO may have ground into the glass on the port side, perhaps to see/find/drive out the pin at some point. My concern is water making its way into the glass. I'm not sure that is a well founded concern, but.... So, while I 'm doing some West System gouge and scratch filling/fairing underneath, ought I fill and fair around/over the visible pin area also? Thanks in advance! Jeff+
I certainly would. Good idea to do it in a way that you don't have to hunt for the pin in the future, though. (make life easier in the future)
