Havasumontgomerys bites the dust!
Well, I knew it would happen eventually. and it did. The web service I initially used for the Havasumontgomerys site as well as the first years of the HPCC event....finally totally flaked out. For years now I have been unable to access the site to make any modifications. I could never get ANY response from the webmaster or company for support. I finally gave up, and went to Godaddy making the new Sailhavasu site. Well, now I see the HavasuMontgomerys site is gone and with it a lot of the history of Dauntless and her restoration. Bummer.. All attempts to contact Piczo.com meet with absolutely no response. It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen. I still have archives of pictures and stuff on discs...but I really don't have the time/desire to locate and rebuild it all. Oh well! it was fun while it lasted!!!! :-)
Sean, that is a shame and I share your disappointment. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate and have learned from your generous sharing of your experiences restoring Dauntless. Your site and experiences were (and are) inspirational (sniff!). But seriously, I thank you sincerely!! Robbin On 7/18/2012 10:27 PM, Nebwest2@aol.com wrote:

I really enjoyed reading the Sail article on the Havasu convention/get together in February. Had a beautiful picture of Doug K's cutter rigged M-15 and some other pretty shots including one of the host, organizer and MC (our very own Sean). Makes me wish I had been there! I am not sure what is available online but you all could go to their web site and see. Sail is one of those secondary magazines for me as they are more focused on the latest 60' offering of some mega yacht company so this was a pleasant change up for them. Cheers, Robbin
