Bronze Rod for Rudder
I'm in need of a replacement bronze rod for my rudder. Is this a spare part that I can get direct from Montgomery Boats or are there other sources? Mike Johnson
Probably the best way would be to call McMaster /Carr or similar supplier and get silican or aluminum bronze, with aluminum bronze being the best. Bronze will slide much better than stainless anmd gets slicker as the years go by, where stainless slowly galls and gets stickier. jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Johnson" <mrexj71860@gmail.com> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 02, 2011 5:42 PM Subject: M_Boats: Bronze Rod for Rudder
