Dinghy inflatable v ridged
If you only need a dinghy for getting to and fro from your boat you could do what I do to access your boat; swim! It's much easier than dealing with a second boat, provides refreshing exercise, allows you to assess your boat boarding abilities. My boat is 1/4 mile offshore. With swim find it us an easy trip. Just a thought. Jon Barber Monty17 Ol'44
An inflatable paddleboard is what I use, works well, I can inflate and deflate in the cockpit or pull it behind the boat, depending on the situation. Stores easily and is quite stable. Jason Leckie Kuma M17 On Thu, May 27, 2021 at 9:46 AM Jon Barber <brbrbarber@gmail.com> wrote:

Depends on what temperature water one is moored in...!! And time of year. Where's your boat moored? I've done that in Hawai'i a few times. I've swum to shore and back from my Monty on a few overnights in Oregon lakes in the summer. For 'dinghies' to date, I've used: 1) an old windsurfer board, as sit or stand paddleboard 2) a friend's Sevylor Tahiti inflatable kayak 3) a friend's Perception Carolina 12 plastic kayak The latter is the best by far. It paddles decently as a kayak in its own right; it's overly stable enough to climb in and out of from the mothership; it has plenty of cargo space for paddling off to a day hike etc. Only good for single-handing though, couldn't take a passenger. cheers, John On 5/27/21 9:45 AM, Jon Barber wrote:
