Just don't try and put all your grandchildren on board at the same time. An M15 is great for two people; will accept three; or even four - if they are small types - but it isn't, and never will be a ferry for multitudes. We bought our M15 when I was in my 70's, and sailed it all over till I was about 85, and we had a ball. What other boat, but a trailerable one, can go to windward down an Interstate at 70 MPH? Connecticut to Florida in three days driving. Or, to the Chesapeake, Lake Champlain, Moosehead Lake in Me. - the world is your oyster. We had sailed a 29 footer for 26 years until the incessant proliferation of powerboats took all the fun, and peace and quiet, out of sailing. We downsized to a trailerable, and never looked back.
