Robbin, my savior, I think I've found what to look for in that boat and that is you, someone else to buy it. I've also been interested in that boat, but it seems to be a major project. The trailer is just the beginning. It seems like that boat has been neglected for some time and not taken care of for a long time before that. I know I should stay away from it, but a good project has always been something I find hard to resist. This boat appears to be completely stripped of equipment ie. ice box not included, stove not included, they even took out the porta potty, which in my opinion was worthless to start with. By the time one purchases all the equipment needed to make this boat seaworthy it may have been a better deal to pay twice as much for an equipped M17 that was taken care of properly. If you must pursue this boat, and I personally hope you do, make sure it has all essential parts, such as standing rigging, complete rudder, mainsheet with blocks, halyards and of course sails. Another down side of this purchase is that it will be unlikely that you'll be able to rig the boat before you buy it. If you could rig it, you would not only see what's missing, but you'd get a better idea of the condition of all the parts. Let us know how this project develops. Good luck and don't let me down, now.
