Dear M Boaters, Thanks for the help on "Raising the Mast Single Handed on the M15." Now that my boat is stored at home for the winter season, except for a trip to Hogin Sails for a boat cover fitting thanks to a previous response on this site, I will try the "raising" in my driveway. Murray.
Murray: Margaret at Hogin sails did a terrific job for me in fitting and making a boom tent for my M15. It has made overnight sailing trips much more livable and lots of fun. Rich Cottrell --- murray <murray@sonic.net> wrote:

Rich, I've posted this same request to so many people in response to so many different subjects, I feel a little sheepish, but here goes: Could you send a pic (pics) of your M15 with the boom tent deployed? If you don't mind sending pics, please send them to chonshell@ia4u.net. Otherwise, if you'd prefer to send them to Doug, or to provide a link, that would be fine, too. Eventually, I want a camping boom tent (not a "mast-up" cover, that will be another project) for my M17. A picture is worth 1,000 words and I'd really like to see how the tent works on your 15. Murray, I'm in the market for a mast-up cover for Storm Petrel. Since she's stored on a trailer, at a sailing club, I need only grommets at the perimeter as tie downs. If that's similar to your requirements, and the price is right, maybe Bob can build two. Can you let me know what his price is? I want a mast-up cover to store my 17' as you do Storm Petrel and I also want a camping boom tent such as Rich describes. Budget may force me to cobble something with poly-tarps next season, but I'd eventually like quality fitten canvass. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Riker" <wriker@mindspring.com> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 04, 2002 9:02 PM Subject: Thanks for the Help Murray, I'm in the market for a mast-up cover for Storm Petrel.
