Gin pole for my Montgomery 17
Thanks for the advice. What I ended up doing was attaching lines about half way up the gin pole and running those lines to the toe rail. That kept the gin pole centered which then kept the mast centered. If it starts to lean to one side or the other a gentle pull on the appropriate shroud brings the mast back into alignment.
