We took Dauntless out for a quick jaunt yesterday. A friend of mine had two young nephews visiting that he wanted to have their first sailing experience. It was a great day. Winds were between 10 to 20 and the temps somewhere around 70 degrees. Although I think both boys enjoyed the trip, the 13 year old seemed to be totally enthralled. I got such a kick out of it. It brought back memories of my first ride on a sailboat and how it really changed my life. Funny, how not-so long ago that day seems in some ways. If you haven't had the chance to share a first sailing experience with someone in this age range, I really suggest it. It really gave me a kick to see. My wife Mari Jo took a few pics from the beach and we put them up on the web site if you need a sailing pic fix for the winter. Maybe they will encourage some of you snowbound guys to trailer down and sail with us during the winter months.
