Hi Robbin, I just did the Molly M's CB in the fall. I would say that any 2 part epoxy paint would be acceptable so that should include west system with a barrier additive. Just a word of caution, a lesson that I had to learn the hard way. Do not do more than a couple of thin coats on the board, maybe only one if you are also going to apply bottom paint. I did several and then bottom paint and after many attempts, I could not get the CB back in the boat. The tolerances, at least in my case, were so tight that 4 coats of paint made the CB to thick to fit in the trunk...crazy and cost me several days in the yard as I got it thru my thick skull that I had to pull the board again and grind off all that expensive paint. I ended up with one coat epoxy and one coat of bottom paint. Another good idea (which you are probably doing) is to replace the CB pennant line. I had an eye splice made of the strongest line the chandlery recommended (that would work in the trunk and the winch). I also made sure the person making the splice knew the set up so they would make the splice as small and low profile as possible. This will help in making sure the CB can be retracted as far into the trunk as possible. Also...be careful with that board...I have a pinky finger that will never be the same.
