I believe I read somewhere that the cockpit floor was tilted toward the bow and water would drain out thru the centerboard line hole. If this is true can one use the cockpit seats as a point to determine it the boat is level while on the trailer? Or are they also tilted to the bow? I want to get the mast set up with approximately 5'-6' of rake per Jerry's rigging instructions on the MSOG site. Of what use is the cockpit drain if above is true and you are not pooped? M15 cockpit sole slopes forward, but not the M17. The seats are pretty level. IMHO --GARY On Apr 10, 2013, at 7:44 PM, "George R. Iemmolo" <griemmolo2@gmail.com> wrote:

Works that way on my M-15, and I have learned from the experience of a tipped trailer while parked in the rain, to make sure that the trailer tongue is lower to allow the rain water to drain. George Where is your M-15 located? It is a windy day on South Puget Sound, too windy for sailing (saw only one sailboat out, then saw it reef, then drop the sails and head in to port), but not raining. Not raining is actually unusual for this area this time of year. Steve ----- Original Message ----- From: "George R. Steve I am located in Valparaiso, IN 50 mi. East of Chicago and 15mi. South of Lake Michigan. I sailed out of Michigan City, IN with my Pearson 23 but will be keeping my M15 on Pine Lake where my daughter lives in La Porte, IN.
