Beckson is the name of the manufacturer of deck plates. They make 4", 6", and 8" screw in plates. I don't know what putting in one of these deck plates would do to the structural integrity of the walls in the cockpit, but the idea sounds pretty intriquing. Joe

Todd, Good point. I don't know. Like I said, this was something I had read about. I know that dorads aren't worth the expense and effort, as I habe been on many boats with them and all the owners agreed that they, at best, gave about as much air movement as a kitten's breath.
