Hi All, I'm working on next months update for the Photo Site and I've got about 150 or so photos ready to post, bringing the total up to 916 photos on 151 pages. That's the good news! Here is the bad news: There are 8 - Montgomery 15's / 13 - Montgomery 17's / 7 - Montgomery 23's and only 3 - Montgomery Dinghys in albums on the site. Almost 1/3 of the 23's ever made are in albums. Where are all of the Dinghy's, M-15 and M-17's photos? To keep this a Montgomery site as opposed to a Sailboat Photo Site (other brands) we need to get more M-Boats on the site. AND, when the site hits 1000 photos, I'm taking a break! It would be nice to see a bunch of Montgomery Boats represented before I do. I have had a bunch of trouble in the past with being able to open photos using AOL... Thanks to RG I have a new E-mail address that is accepting large amounts of storage and so far I can D/L every photo sent. So, please use the following: _billamicasr@gmail.com_ (mailto:billamicasr@gmail.com) Thanks for considering to participate. Please send one photo so I may see the size (picky, picky) before you send a bunch. BIll _www.MSOGPhotoSite.com_ (http://www.MSOGPhotoSite.com)
Hello all, I purchased M15 #136 last summer and have been enjoying reading all the great Monty info. I was a non-sailer before purchasing this boat. It has truly been a joyful experience teaching myself to sail. I have lots of silly stories like that the first time I took her out I couldn't rig her so I stayed tied to the dock all day or that I semi-sailed the first 4 or 5 times without realizing that the rudder flipped down and so I had to sit on the extreme back edge of the boat to steer at all (she was not very responsive) I read several books and have safely and successfully had her out 2-3 per week for most of the late summer on several of the lakes in Western Colorado. I would like to name her. Is there a registy of names somewhere so I do not duplicate another Monty? thanks, Rick Fox
You're a good man Rick. Not many here would admit to such glowing ineptitude. Glad, I'm not the only one! ;-) Gonna name her Foxy? I, myself would like to change my boat's name. But, I hear that unless you do it correctly, you may end up in Davy Jones's locker--or that some other bad luck will be bestowed upon you. Guess, I'll have to look up the official procedure. Unless, of course, someone out there knows. --Bob Olson M-15 #219 Sequel (yuck) On Jan 23, 2006, at 4:15 PM, Foxy wrote:
