If 2 h.p. seems too little/risky and 4 is a handful, look into the Nissan/Tohatsu 3.5 4-stroke long shaft, an in-betweener. It weighs in at 43 pounds -- just about the extra weight I'm carrying around every day (gotta do something about that.) Whether to go to 2.5 was settled for me, because I wanted a long shaft and only the 3.5 had the option. The 3.5 sold new for only $44 more than a long-shaft, air-cooled Honda 2 h.p. Almost twice the power for forty bucks. No contest. Steven "Shenanigans" M15 #324 ************** Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Read reviews on AOL Autos.
