Gerry, Yep, I knew those backing plates were starting to get a bit shabby. I was thinking of doing them as well. I think I would lean toward Kingboard in white for the non-rot quality. It would match the lower drop board on the boat too. There are a number of backing plates in that area of your M23 because that is where the Navik Vane mounts. Have fun....
