Lake camping is hard in socal as it mostly isn’t allowed. Big Bear lake might be your best bet. Lake Perris is small and closed at night but you can stay overnight at the marina. Lake Havasu in Arizona is a great cruising ground. The southern part of the lake has 80 boat in only campgrounds and all of them have a sandy beach or very light pebbles. They have picnic tables and toilets. The lake is 30 miles long and if you want entertainment there is always lake Havasu city. Best of all it is only about 6 hours from Oceanside. I usually do a week long cruise there every year. Doug Kelch Suncat 17 "Take Five" On Mon, Oct 7, 2024 at 10:44 AM John Schinnerer via montgomery_boats < montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> wrote:

I've looked into this a bit and a buddy of mine with a Hobie tri did some research also. It overall sounds good. But don't go during spring break weeks, we heard, it is a zoo of altered young testosterone-boaters zooming around. cheers, John On 10/7/24 13:13, Douglas Kelch wrote:
