I have what I am fairly certain is a 1984 Montgomery 7'11 that I am selling here in San Diego. It is in pristine condition, just a beauty. The serial number is: MMP 715120384 (any help in deciphering the serial number is appreciated.) I have a bunch of photos in the link below which is in the local Craigslist Ad... This 1984 Montgomery "7-11" is a full pedigree classic lapstrake beauty. Absolutely pristine condition with 5 coats of varnish, freshly painted mast, all fittings in order, oars and oarlocks and dropdown keel and rudder. Newer sail. It is a bit hard to see due to the shadows in the photos, but the hull is a beautiful Emerald Green. Here is a slideshow with additional photos: <http://s959.photobucket.com/albums/ae75/Sailingsocal/Montgomery%208%20Sailb oat%20%20Traditional%20Classic/?albumview=slideshow> http://s959.photobucket.com/albums/ae75/Sailingsocal/Montgomery%208%20Sailbo at%20%20Traditional%20Classic/?albumview=slideshow Come get a timeless classic. $1,400.00 This compares to a Trinka, or any other of the classic dinghy sailboats and will outsail any of them! Thank you, Dave! I too was/am a trifle puzzled about the first 5 numbers and kind of was guessing as you do that the hull # is likely 512 as I would doubt there were over 1,500 of these built. Thank you, again. Also, love the Sage web site! joe: the first five numbers are open for the builder to define. can be numbers or letters (not including I, O or Q). i don't know what jerry used to define all of the dinks. he built a lot of dinks. thousands. many more than the M15, M17 or M23 combined. :: Dave Scobie :: M17 #375 - SWEET PEA - www.m17-375.webs.com :: Sage Marine - www.sagemarine.us --- On Sun, 4/17/11, Joe Balla <jbsails@gmail.com> wrote:
