Jerry, Those are my not so old stomping grounds since I'm still in the area. You'll be pleased to know that there are at least 6 M17s & 15s at Richardson Marina on Fern Ridge Reservoir. I'll be helping a friend put his M17 in the water up there this weekend. I keep my M23 at Winchester Bay on the coast now because I can't resist the call of the sea, but my M15 will still see many days on Fern Ridge. Tell the Manns to get in touch when they're in the area. We'll bring the wine if they'll bring the tales! Mark Dvorscak M23 Faith M15 still in restoration -----Original Message-----

Just got back from lunch with Mike and Laurie Mann- many of you will remember Mike as the guy who sailed a 15 to Hawaii about 20 years ago. We sat around at the Spaghetti Factory and told lies for a couple of hours - good times. He brought a bunch of photos of getting the boat ready, the trip, etc. I was startled to see that I didn't always have a gray beard!
They're on their way to Eugene, OR for most of the summer, where they're going to stay near Fern Ridge Reservoir, which is my old stomping grounds in better days. When little kids, my brother and I used to go out there with Kenny Richardson, the farmer on the next farm over, and catch a bazillion catfish. A good time was had by all, except maybe for the catfish. I once delivered a 15 to Eugene and sailed it in a race at Fern Ridge with my two 7-year-olds as crew. We duct taped the halyard and topping lift on, and launched the chute out of a paper bag! Seems like we won, but I'm not sure.
