Has anybody sailed on Ross Lake in the North Cascades National Park in Washington State? I have been eyeing it up for a few years and hoping to bring my Montgomery there. There is a launch ramp at the northern end of the lake in BC. Was wondering the condition of the ramp etc. Been camping at Diablo Lake which is the next lake down below the dam of Ross and is a gorgeous lake with glacial blue water. I haven’t used it or done anything to it other than winterizing the 2011 Tohatsu 3.5 HP, 4-stroke engine.
I’m selling it because the wife refused to go on it as we are (I am) getting into sailing from power boating.
You can see pictures of it at Sailinglistings.com and at Craigslist Southcoast MA. I plan on taking more pictures this weekend to post soon.

I think you will need your passport :) if you are entering by the north end of the lake, if you are coming from the south end it's not required but the north end is the only end that has a launch ramp. Has anybody sailed on Ross Lake in the North Cascades National Park in Washington State? I have been eyeing it up for a few years and hoping to bring my Montgomery there. There is a launch ramp at the northern end of the lake in BC. Was wondering the condition of the ramp etc.
Been camping at Diablo Lake which is the next lake down below the dam of Ross and is a gorgeous lake with glacial blue water.

I haven’t used it or done anything to it other than winterizing the 2011 Tohatsu 3.5 HP, 4-stroke engine.
I’m selling it because the wife refused to go on it as we are (I am) getting into sailing from power boating.

I took my M-15 out yesterday on a lake nearby and the peace without any phone or electronics was great. It was a 5-10kts day and we were the only sailboat out on a 85 degree blue sky day. The lake was mine. Loved it. Oh, and it was the maiden voyage for me and my 1980 M-15. All went well.

I do carry my cell phone for emergencies, such as a cardio problem for the 73 year old guy at the helm. Fortunately this area has a couple of maritime emergency contacts, both numbers programed into my phone, but no other electronics, even my nautical lights for after dark are D cell battery powered. My lights are also battery powered as is my music on board streaming bluetooth to a small speaker inside the cabin so as not to disturb the wildlife.
