I have been checking Hooper's site, as well as following Northern Breezes, hoping your beautiful 17' would find a home: She's the boat I probably would have considered had I known about her before running to Raleigh, NC to pick up my '84 17'. At the time, I'd given up on finding a Monty 17' in the greater Great Lakes area. I have no buyer's remorse, I love my Monty, but I was hoping someone would rescue the Hooper's boat. When I bought my 17', I chose between her and a Typhoon. I love Cape Dorys. The deciding factor was the 17's ease of launch and retrieval. If you have digital pics of your new purchase, I'd love to have the before 'n afters, or just the "afters" if those are all you have, if you'd care to attach and send them to chonshell@ia4u.net.
