Bummer...Sorry the cleats didn't work out. Maybe the flag supplier will take them back for a refund or restocking fee. Anyway it was worth a try. None of the other cleats I found had the same "flat top" shape. In the grand scheme of things, you're right that the spacing of the mounting holes is priority 1.
We'll probably use the same home pattern on the cleats for the 16 I'm working on so hang in there til next summer or so. I like that cleat (maybe because I designed it) and it works well. jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: <ndorf@surfbest.net> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 01, 2009 6:26 PM Subject: Re: M_Boats: Broken cleat, M-15

This cleat story will continue. I now realize what a priceless cleat I broke due to my attempts to remove a 1/4 20 for no good reason. -----L -----Original Message----- From: montgomery_boats-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:montgomery_boats-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of jerry Sent: Wednesday, December 02, 2009 4:56 PM To: For and about Montgomery Sailboats Subject: Re: M_Boats: Broken cleat, M-15 We'll probably use the same home pattern on the cleats for the 16 I'm working on so hang in there til next summer or so.
