Dick: I've had cocktails at Ricks. I used to fish but got bored. Ten years ago I started bringing my Sunfish and sailed while the others fished. When I brought "Really" up for the Hex Hatch four years ago they all laughed and said it was too big to sail on the Fall. Now they watch me glide by while they fish. It's a delightful place to sail a small boat. Sail amongst the trout fishermen and their guide boats seeking trophies along miles of meandering spring fed rivers with wonderful views of Mount Shasta. 3,200' elevation. Shallow water. Only one shallow, undeveloped public launch area at the Rat Farm. Terrific golf course at Fall River Mills.I've yet to see another sailboat after 15 years of visiting the Fall River.
