Hi All, My serial # is MMP173250580. Is that hull # 325 from the beginning of the run or from 1980 ? My guess is from the beginning of MSB. It is a great boat. Has the little galley. Does it have the steel CB ? I have not inspected it yet. Ice still melting off the lake, so there is still time... Doug Vogel Wilson, Wyoming Tie Line
Hi Doug, UGH!! Ice still on the lake in June? This past weekend we had 95+ degrees on the east coast. How long is your sailing season in Wyoming? I bet the lakes are gorgeous out west. To answer your questions, your boat was manufactured in May of 1980. It is the 325th M-17 that Jerry built. Your ballast is made of steel punches. And your CB is steel. Enjoy the M-17. I'd like to move up to a M-17 or even a Sage 17, but to do so, I'd also have to upgrade the tow vehicle. A double whammie on the old wallet.
