Batteries are only DC! ...........do you want to drive around trailing a shore power umbilical cord so you have AC on board? The next possibility is to run a small Honda generator set that produces AC power. Then you have AC for the trolling motor, but can you stand the noise? All this does is add complexity and cost: generator set; fuel for the generator; added weight............ Connie

However you could use an inverter to produce ac from 12v dc, they have about 92% conversion efficienct. Dick
