Becky: did you buy the M17 that was for sale in Estes Park? depending on your driving patterns the trip can be done in six/seven days ... maybe even five if you drive long days and switch with a co-pilot. very good road between Portland and Colorado. i've driven all the Interstates you would travel in the past two years ... with boats in tow. man ... if i could 'haul a double' next month i would helping you out. i'm going from Golden, CO, to Monterey, CA, for the Cruiser Challenge and then heading up to Port Townsend, WA. consider uShip - www.uship.com or do an internet search for 'boat shipping colorado'. (i just did this search and found _lots_ and received lots of hits. shipping is a matter of how fast (quicker = more $) and what type of transport (enclosed trailer ($$$), flatbed ($$) or behind the hauler's truck using boat's trailer ($)). the arrangements are not difficult once you figure out how much $ you are willing to pay. i shipped a customer's boat overseas with no difficulty (couple of phone calls, couple of emails, and FAX). if you wish to collect her yourself the M17 tows very well (good manners and not 'super heavy'). :: Dave Scobie --- On Wed, 6/19/13, Becky Belding <becky@beckybelding.com> wrote:

Becky:
how far are you wanting to haul? from where to, i'm guessing, Portland OR.
as Pam wrote you don't need 'big truck' abilities. any vehicle that can handle up to 2500 lbs and a tongue weight up to 250 lbs is adequate.

I am wondering if anyone has suggestions/experience with hiring a shipping company to transport a M17 from another state? Many thanks, Becky
