Ditto to what John said. It's the equivalent of physically mailing a letter with a fake return address written in the left corner...you can pretty much write anything you want. You don't need to get their passwords or anything, nor can the person being spoofed do much about it. It just requires a trusted public mailbox to insert the fake mail into. Sorry for droning on about it, but John's right and the correct response is no response....but I just wanted people to have an understandingof what the actual problem is and it's nice to have an educated public not automatically assuming that it was in anyway the fault of the sender.
