Hi everybody: Sorry, I keep coming up with more questions... I've got one of the original M17 sails from '79. It's in pretty good shape, considering its age. But it looks like I may have a little boltrope shrinkage. Has anybody else experienced this? I wanted to ask before I go hacking up the stitching on my old sail, since replacing it will likely take a while. Any recommendations for a good long-distance sailmaker? Is it on the luff or foot? What makes you think it has shrunk? What problem is it causing? Before I did too much surgery, I'd be tempted to use it to see if it will stretch back into shape. Brian Gilbert wrote:
